I want to tell you the story of one of my old friends called Bob. His teachers called him ― Troublemaker‖. They also said that he had no future and no hope! But now he owns a small second-hand bookstore which makes him enough money to live on and also support his mother.He told me that after he finished grade nine, he went to study at a technical college. He was a pretty bad students so he became one of the gang （一帮）leaders there. Many of them got caught many times for fighting.

It looked like nothing could change his life. That was until one sad when his father died. That changed everything.

After his father died, his mother had to work very hard to make enough money to support the family. He told me that he really pitied his mum after his dad died. He felt that he needed to earn some money rather than let his mum work alone. He loved reading cartoon books and had been collecting them for years. As his family was short of money he decide that he should sell them. He did this by the side of the road where his mother was selling food.

Soon he realized that his books were very popular. So he decide to set up his own business. He started his business by going around buying cartoon books from other people. He bought them for 25% and then sold them for half price. He could make enough money to help support the family.

He was a ―troublemaker‖ to his teachers but he is a hero to me. If you are judged as a ―bad students‖ or as someone being ―stupid‖, I suggest you pay no attention to what they say. Just fo your best in everything. Don’t give up so easily. Believe in yourself. If you think that you can do it, then you can. Believe me, one day you could be more successful than those persons who looked down upon you!.

It’s always difficult to admit you are in the wrong. Being human, we all need to know the art of apologizing. Look back with honesty and think how often you’ve judged roughly, said unkind things, pushed yourself ahead at the expense of a friend. When we eat or drink caffeine, it wakes us up and makes our hearts work a little faster. Caffeine also helps some medicine work faster, and helps stop some headaches.

However, caffeine has some bad effects. If we have it at night, we may not be able to sleep. Too much caffeine angry or uncomfortable. Many doctors say that caffeine is not good for children or women who are pregnant(怀孕的). If people eat or drink a lot of caffeine, their heats will start working too fast.

In addition to all these effects, caffeine is habit-forming. Just like cigarettes, after people start drinking caffeine, stopping can be very difficult. The Purpose of Boredom

Being bored can encourage people's creativity-partly to escape the horrible, frustrated. And meaningless feeling of boredom-recent studies find. It could even be true at work.

Psychologists at the University of Central Lancashire had participants copy numbers out of the telephone book for 15 minutes, while others went straight into a standard creativity task.

Both groups were asked to come up with as many different uses as they could for a plastic cup. The group that felt more bored came up with more uses.

Dr. Sandi Mann, one of the study's authors said. " Boredom at work has always been seen as

something to he removed. hut perhaps we should be welcoming it in order to encourage our creativity. What we want LO do next is to see what the practical implications of this finding are. Do people who are bored at work become more creative in other areas of their work-or do they go home and write novels?"

In a later study, Dr. Sandi Mann found that creativity was reduced when people were still bored but didn't have the chance to daydream.

While we tend to think of boredom as something; that certainly leads to trouble-drinking, gambling. and antisocial behavior, this research suggests differerd possibilities.

More than anything, the feeling of boredom is a 8trong signal that we are stuck in some kind of rut and we need to seek out new goals. In the study above, this research led participants to new ideas.

Usually people will do anything to avoid being bored. as it's such an aversive experience. But creative people, like writers, sometimes talk about seeking out boredom.

Here is the comedy writer Graham Lineman talking about boredom Lo The Guardian. "I have to use all these programs that cut off the Internet, force me to be bored, because being bored is an essential part of writing, and the Internet has made it very hard to be bored. The creative process requires a period of boredom ,of being stuck. That's actually a very uncomfortable period that a lot of people mistake for writer's block, but it's actually just part of a long process. "
