1. Knowledge aims
By the end of the class:
(1)Students are able to recall some basic knowledge of festivals and days. They can express their attitudes towards festivals and days.
(2)Students are able to fluently use the topic-related words and word chunks about festivals and days.When: January, February…December
How: have a big dinner, eat turkey, get together, enjoy the moon, encourage sb. to do sth.,
help people in need, pay attention to, realize the importance of, eat Zongzi, remember sb. Why: love for, remember, respect, feel happy
(3) Students can introduce the festivals or design their own festivals.
2. Learning ability aims
By the end of the class:
(1)Students are able to use “Mind Map” to review the words and word chunks according to the related topic.
(2)Students are able to understand and use the topic-related words and word chunks by the context teaching method.
(3) Students are able to motivate their associative thinking and critical thinking ability.
3. Emotional aims
By the end of the class:
(1)Students are able to appreciate different festivals and days in different cultures.
(2)Students are able to learn to care for other people and the whole society.
(3)Students are able to improve cooperation with partners through group work.
(4)Students are able to get more interested in vocabulary revision through task-based activities. Teaching important and difficult points:

(2)Use the topic-related words and word chunks to express the attitudes towards Chinese and Western Festivals.
