Part 1 Analysis of the teaching material
1. Status and function
This lesson is the first part of this unit. In this lesson, students are expected to learn to talk about ball games and tell others about their favourite sport. In this way ,students will be interested in the lesson and the teaching process can boost their learning enthusiasm.
2. Teaching objectives
1) Knowledge objectives:
To enable students to learn something about sports and and the fixed phrasal pattern : play football ,do athletics and so on .
2) Ability objectives:
(1) To improve students’ ability to speak and listen.
(2) To improve students’ communication skills.
3) Feelings and attitudes :
(1) To enable students to be more interested in the sports,
(2) To cultivate students’ team working spirit.
3. Teaching key points
1) To enable students to learn how to use phrases: play football ,do gymnastics and so on.
2) To enable students to learn to communicate with others on the issues of sports .
