Unit 9 What does he look like?(第一课时)教学设计

一、教学目标

1. 能用英语描述人的外貌,包括身高、体重、发型

2. 学习完成任务所需要的语言:

1)词汇:hair, curly, straight, tall, medium, height, thin, heavy , always

2)句子:--What does he look like?

-- She is3)语法:能区别is与has的用法

二、教学步骤

1. 明确目标,情境导入

(板书:Unit 9 What does he look like?)

T: Hi, boys and girls. Look at me, what do I look like?

Am I tall or short?

Am I thin or heavy?

Do I have straight hair or short hair?

【事先做好图片,分别有关发型(长发,短发,卷发直发),有关身高,体形。】

语言输入、词汇句型教学

【设计意图】教师分别呈现问题,分步呈现相关词汇;最好呈现对教师本人的描述:I’m tall, I’m thin, and I have short, straight hair.学生在习得词汇的基础上初步感知从三个维度描述认得外貌特征。

2) 词汇巩固(生词领读)Now let's read all these words together: short hair, curly hair, long hair, straight hair, tall, short, medium height, thin, heavy, medium build.

T:(指着黑板上的生词)现在请大家观察一下,你能找出几对反义词呢?

S1: short – long

S2: short – tall

S3: thin – heavey

S4: straight – curly

T: Great! 其实当我们记了一个单词以后,我们可以想想它的同义词或者反义词,这是我们记忆单词,扩大词汇量的好方法。

3)What do you look like? Write something and share

【设计意图】学生使用词汇描述自己

4)What does your best friend look like?

【设计意图】描述朋友,然后阅读猜测,既激发兴趣,又练习了听力。

2. 听力训练,逐步深入

1)读图

T: (指着1a中的图片)Look at the picture, where are they? What are they doing?

T:(指着1a中主题图)Now there are many people in the station . What do they look like?

【设计意图】激活目标语言

2)语言输入、听力活动

1)T:(指着1a中主题图中的人物)Amy is going to meet one of her friend. Look at these people, who is Amy's friend? What does he or she look like? Let's listen to the tape and help Amy find her friend, OK? Amy现在要找到她的朋友,让我们一起听录音帮她找到朋友好吗?

(再用Amy过渡到听力)
